大家好!今天我们讲第八章诠释学和理解的循环(Hermeneutics and the Circle ofUnderstanding)。
Hermeneutics国内有几种翻译:诠释学,阐释学,解释学,三种翻译都有。什么叫诠释学?它指的是理解和解释象征性文本,不管这个象征性文本来自哪里。它是广泛应用的,比如考古挖了一个杯子起来,或者象形文字,都是象征性文本;历史学也遇到很多象征性文本,心理咨询、心理治疗、精神分析遇到的象征性内容更多:症状是象征性文本,梦境也是象征性文本。
正如赫尔墨斯可以沟通天和地之间的信息,炼金诠释术中的受伤治疗师沟通意识和无意识之间的巨大鸿沟。这种巨大鸿沟通过象征得以链接,这种象征也是荣格说的超越性功能,这是自性原型的主要功能之一。
在221页第二段有很诗性地描述赫尔墨斯功能的一段文字:Insofar as re-search with soul in mind is under the spell of Orpheus, it is also an approach to research that has its roots in the"Hermes process," in the art of translation or movement between worlds. Hermes is the one who guides the wounded researcher in the six Orphic moments of the journey between himself or herself and the text, the one who is charged with making the complex unconscious presence of the researcher to the text more conscious, and the one charged with mediating the difference between what the researcher wants from the work and what the work wants from the researcher. Hermes is the guide in the work, the one who stands between the researcher, who would bring the soul of the work into intelligibility, and the work itself, which, like Eurydice, belongs with its perpetual unfinished business in the underworld一 this is why, as I said in Chapter 4, the work is never done, even though it is finished.。
